Rinky & Dev: A Beautiful Couple Wedding (সু#র দ&িত িববাহ)
It is rightly said: “Great photography is about depth of feeling, not depth of field.”
In a Wedding, it is not only about covering the whole footage and the job is done. It is about understanding and respecting the culture and traditions of the families involved. It has always been a wonderful experience to capture the weddings where we come across couple belong to different cultures. Almost a month back, I edited a bengali wedding. As an editor, I always try to find ways to inspire myself and my clients by taking on challenges. It is one way of learning and enhancing my own knowledge as an editor.
The stunning traditional bengali wedding of Rinky & Dev would be cherished for years to come.
Rinky & Dev reside in Brisbane and the wedding would be called a lockdown wedding. It was on 12th July, 2020. The Grace weddings was so excited to capture this wedding but unfortunately, we couldn't be able to make it to Brisbane because of Covid restrictions in Victoria.
The Grace Weddings is really grateful to our team in Brisbane with whom we discussed everything before the wedding. Giving someone instructions to shoot accordingly is always different what you would have done if you were there. Our team did a fantastic job. During the whole wedding ceremony, we were constantly in touch with our team in Brisbane and keeping an eye on our phones all the time in case our team need to contact us.
All the ceremonies before wedding like Haldi Ceremony of bride and groom, a Ritual Ceremony of bride before Haldi and the Wedding Ceremony which was taken place at bride’s place in Brisbane with close family members around showering their blessings, were captured elegantly by our team.
After getting all the data from our team, it was my time to edit. Choosing songs was a task because it was a bengali wedding. Sheena, the bride was so cooperative and supportive throughout. She sent me a few links of bengali songs to be selected for Highlights. Now as an editor, it was my job to select the right song which will amaze not only the couple but also the viewers. Google played a significant role in this. Translation of bengali songs into english made my work easier and I select ‘esho ray’ song after understanding the lyrics of this bengali song.
A great experience, I must say of editing this amazing small lockdown wedding of Rinky and Dev.
